Eligible Specialties: Physicians, Psychiatrists, Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Certified Nurse Midwives.
Service Requirement: 3 years in a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area (from the date award contract is signed.
Who Can Apply: PAs, NPs, RCNMs who agree to practice primary care in a primary care site located in a HPSA.
Repayment/Scholarship Terms: 40% of award beginning of first year, 40% beginning of second year, 20% at end of third year.
Amount of Repayment Per Year of Service: Physicians and dentists can receive up to $50,000 and NPs, PAs, CNMs can receive up to $25,000 in loan repayment over a three-year period.
