NHSC Scholarship Program
The NHSC Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students pursuing professions in the primary health care field in return for a commitment to serve communities in need, upon graduation and the completion of training. In return for each school year of financial support received, students agree to provide primary health care services for one year at an NHSC-approved site. There is a minimum two-year service commitment.

The NHSC Scholarship includes:
- Tax-free payment for tuition, required fees, and other reasonable educational costs
- A monthly living stipend that is taxable
- Support to scholars while in school and offers tools and resources after graduation, during training, and while in practice
- Assistance finding a job at a high-need, NHSC-approved site
- Access to educational, training, and networking opportunities
- Becoming part of a community of providers with a shared desire to serve patients with limited access to health care
- Accepts applications once a year from students who are enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, in an accredited health care professions academic program pursuing a career in an NHSC-eligible discipline
- You can apply at any time during your academic program
